Before you travel
Once your plan is confirmed, preparation is deliberately simple. You receive written pre-operative instructions covering medication to pause and habits to hold: no aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers in the final days before surgery, no alcohol in the 72 hours before, no caffeine the night before, and do not cut or shave your hair for at least 4 weeks before the procedure, the team needs to see natural growth patterns. Patients with cardiac or other significant conditions arrange written consent from their own doctor in advance.
Your days in Tirana
Most patients spend 2–3 nights. Day one: arrival, transfer, rest, with breakfast at the hotel included, and a proper breakfast before surgery matters for stable blood sugar. Day two: the procedure, typically 6–8 hours door to door including checks, design, extraction, lunch and implantation. You return to the hotel with your first-night kit, including a neck pillow for sleeping semi-upright. Day three: first wash at the clinic, aftercare training, final questions, then the transfer back to the airport.
After you fly home
The protocol continues where the clinic left off: the daily washing routine for 10 days, the short medication course, activity rules for the first weeks, all written, all taught before departure. Check-ins at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months run on photos through your coordinator, and an emergency line covers the rare urgent question at any hour. Optional supportive treatments such as PRP can be recommended during the growth year where the team sees benefit.
